You can have up to 100 of these devices on a system, each one of them controlling up to 10 Access Control Units. The MaceTrac Access Ethernet Bridge uses wireless technology to communicate with the Mace Access Control software.
The Mace Access Wireless Ethernet Bridge provides the wireless communication link between the PC running Access Control software and the Access Control units. Unlike the Mace Security USB Wireless Bridge, the Ethernet Bridge uses a sites LAN/WAN. This means that multiple Ethernet bridges can be placed around a site and used to link back to the PC via LAN/WAN. This means that Control units can be installed at a greater distance from the PC running the Access Control Software.
The unit plugs into the LAN/WAN by means of a standard RJ45 network port. The Mace Access Ethernet Bridge driver software is loaded from the Mace Access Control software. Once the Mace Access Ethernet Bridge has been detected by the PC, run the Mace Access Control server configuration program to register the bridge with the server program. The Mace Access Control software will include the Mace Access Ethernet Bridge in its list of ports to be monitored. Wireless communication can be established through Mace Access Control software to products using Mace Access Control technology like Mace Security Wireless Single Door Access Control Unit (ACU).
